Iran has reportedly conveyed a message through the United Nations to Israel to avoid further escalation in Gaza and stated its intention to interfere if Israel proceeds with a ground invasion of Gaza.
ย
This communication took place during a meeting between Iranโ€™s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and UN envoy to the Middle East, Tor Wennesland, in Beirut. Wennesland urged Iran to help prevent the conflict from spreading across the region, especially in light of border clashes between Hezbollah and Israel, as well as Israeli bombardment in Syria.

Amir-Abdollahian said it would serve as Iranโ€™s "red lines" and warned that if Israeli military aggression, particularly a planned ground offensive in Gaza, persists, Iran would feel compelled to respond.ย
