Srinagar: Indian Police Officer (IPS), Rayees Mohammad Bhat on Wednesday assumed charge as the Deputy Inspector General of Police for South Kashmir.
The officer was transferred last weekend and posted as the in-charge of DIG South Kashmir Range, Anantnag, against an available vacancy, relieving Sujit Kumar of the additional charge of the post.
He was the former SSP Baramulla and said that he looks forward to public cooperation against various evils plaguing the society,
“People should come forward and together and we should be able to salvage the society and get rid of the various evils including drugs,” he said.
