Srinagar: The Indian army on Sunday said that an infiltration bid was foiled and an intruder was killed along the Line of Control in pir panjal’s Poonch sector.
In a statement; a spokesperson said that on the intervening night of April 8 and 9, troopers detected suspicious movement of a group individuals along the LoC (line of control) in Poonch Sector.
“The individuals were challenged by the troops who were close to the fence. On being intercepted, in the ensuing operations, one dead body was seen and the other intruders ran into the forest area,” reads the statement.

It added cordon of the area has been established and search operation is in progress.
