IED Found In Chenab Valley’s Kishtwar

Kishtwar: J&K police and Indian military have found – a 10-kilogram unassembled Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on Monday in Chenab region’s Kishtwar district. 
 
The joint efforts were prompted by specific intelligence pointing to the presence of the IED in Hasti Village, Shalimar Kishtwar. The army and police swiftly initiated an operation based on this information, GNS quoted an official saying. 
 
“Our thorough search and operation proved successful as we uncovered the explosives strategically hidden beneath a culvert in the specified location,” he said. 
 
Parvaiz Khanday, the Station House Officer (SHO) in Kishtwar, confirmed the recovery of the explosives and underscored the importance of this timely detection, stating that it prevented a potentially catastrophic incident.
 

Authorities have registered a case and initiated further investigations into the incident.
