‘Hybrid’ Militant Held In North Kashmir’s Baramulla

Srinagar: One ‘hybrid’ militant was arrested on Monday in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police said. 

He has been identified as Tawheed Ahmad Haroon, son of Late Khazir Mohammad and resident of Delina Ghat, Baramulla. 
 
A pistol with full magazine and nine rounds of 9 mm were recovered from his possession. 
 
"A joint team of forces including Baramulla Police, Army 52 RR, 53 Bn CRPF & 2nd Bn SSB established routine check post near Juhama crossing Baramulla, an individual tried to flee from the spot and intercepted by the team," police said in a statement. 
 
Case under sections of Arms & UA (P) Act stands registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation taken up, reads the statement.
 
‘Hybrid’ militants is a newly coined term in the history of Kashmir militancy, which according to poilce are undercover Militants who live normal lives in the society and carry out attacks like sleeper cells
