Srinagar: A “hybrid” militant associated with the Al-Badr armed group was arrested in the Batmaloo area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar city, Police said.
The arrested individual has been identified as Arfat Yusuf, son of Md Yusuf and a resident of the Rajpora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama.
“A Glock Pistol, 20 live rounds, and 2 magazines were recovered from his possession,” Police said.
“He had committed acts of terror in Pulwama and had come to Srinagar for similar activities. The case has been registered under FIR 94/2023 U/s 13,23 of UAPA & 7/25 of IA Act at Batmaloo PS.,” Police added.
