‘Human-Trafficking’: Lady Rescued In Bandipora, Says Police

Bandipora: Bandipora police announced on Monday that they have rescued a woman from Bihar who was a victim of human trafficking.
 
According to officials, the victim was illegally sold to Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh, son of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh and resident of Bonyari Ajas in north Kashmir’s Bandipora.
 
Furthermore, the official stated that an investigation into this incident has been initiated at the Sumbal police station.
 

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that two Bangladeshi women who were victims of human trafficking were also rescued by the J&K Police last week in February.
