Srinagar: A residential house and cowshed was gutted in a fire incident at Sheikhmuqaam village of Aloosa in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district last night, officials said on Monday.
They said a single-storey residential house, belonging to Javad Ahmad Gojer, son of Late Khaleel ullah, was gutted along with household goods in the fire incident.
Also, one cowshed and a Tinshed belonging to his neighbor Mohammad Shafi son of Late Taj Mohammad was also damaged in the fire, the cause of which was not immediately known.
Confirming it, an official of the Fire and Emergency department said that timely response by Fire Services Station headquartered in Bandipora saved surrounding property worth of crores of rupees.
