Pulwama: A top commander of Hizb ul Mujahideen was killed in an overnight encounter between forces and militants in Usgam Pathri area of Rajpora hamlet, South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Feroz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Heff in Shopian.
He joined militancy in 2017.
According to police, he was the only militant active in the Zainapora area of Shopian, known as the hot bed of militancy.
