Srinagar: An unidentified man was found hanging from a tree at Al-Maroof Colony area of Ahmadnagar in Kashmir capital, Srinagar.
As per reports, one unidentified man believed to be of Gujjar community was found hanging on a tree at Al-Maroof Colony here.
A police officer confirmed the incident and said the body of the man was spotted by locals of the area and accordingly informed the police.
A police team was immediately sent to the spot and the body was taken into the possession for medico-legal formalities, he said, adding that the identification of the man was being ascertained.
A case under relevant section of law is being registered in this regard and further investigation is going on, he added.
