Srinagar: A civilian and a policeman were injured after an unidentified person hurled a grenade in the Saraf Kadal area of Srinagar, official sources said on Sunday.
The cop has been identified as Mehraj Ahmad, posted at Police Post in Fateh kadal, who has suffered splinter injuries in the chest, and civilian as Sartaj Ahmad Bhat, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat of Saraf Kadal, 27, who has suffered an injury in both legs.
‘Unknown militants lobbed a grenade towards the joint team of police and CRPF at Saraf Kadal, resulting in injuries to two persons,’ police said.
