Tariq Ahmad, a local resident expressing frustration over the lack of clean water said: "We are forced to rely on contaminated water sources, which is taking a toll on our health.ย

"The authorities must take immediate action to address this crisis and ensure we have access to clean drinking water."

Residents have appealed to the Jal Shakti (Water) department for immediate intervention, proposing the installation of a pipeline from the nearby power canal to a local spring, which would provide a more reliable and safe water supply to the community.

A local official confirmed that addressing the water crisis in Urpash is a priority. "We are actively working on the necessary arrangements to resolve this issue as soon as possible," the official said.ย
