Rajouri: Four people were killed and eight others were injured in a tragic accident in the Pir Panchal region of Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. The accident occurred on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday at around 2:30 am when an Eco-Van carrying passengers fell into a deep gorge on Thanamnadi- Bhangai road.
As per officials, Twelve passengers were travelling in the vehicle when the accident adhered. Three died on the spot while one succumbed to his injuries at sub-district hospital Thanamnadi.
The four deceased were identified as Shamim Akhtar (55) wife of Munir Hussain, Rubina Kouser (35) wife of Pervez Ahmed, Zarina Begum (38) wife of Muhammad Azam and Muhammad Younis (38) son of Muhammad Sadiq, all residents of Bhangai.
Moreover, other eight injured passengers are being treated at GMC Associated Hospital, Rajouri.
