Forces Found 35 Kg IED In Khonmoh, Srinagar Outskirts

Srinagar: At least 30—35 kilograms of IED (Improvised Explosive device) was found in the orchards of Khonmoh area, Srinagar outskirts on Tuesday.

As per police, the explosives were found by Police and Army 50RR after acting on a specific input regarding presence of militants in Khanmoh area of Srinagar.

As a joint operation was launched in the area, an IED weighing 30-35Kgs was found.

“Bomb disposal squad was called on spot and the IED was destroyed,” Police said.

“The recovery averted a major tragedy,” police added.
