Srinagar: Police said one unidentified militant has been killed in K Kalan Bijbhera gunfight taking death toll to five on Sunday.
Today, three back to back encounters raged in south kashmir’s Shopian, Tral and Anantnag.
IGP Vijay Kumar said one IED expert was among four militants killed in two separate encounters in Shopian and Pulwama districts of South Kashmir on Saturday.
Police identified militants killed in shopian as Sajad Ahmad Chak, a resident of Braripora, Shopian and Raja Basit Yaqoob, a resident of Achan Litter, Pulwama.
Of Tral, Police said two local militants of AuGH (Ansar Ghazwatul Hind) we’re killed and Identified as Nadeem Nazir Bhat son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Koil Shikargah Tral, and IED expert Rahi Rasool Bhat alias Adil son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Dadsara.
Meanwhile, the searches are underway on the third encounter site in Bijhera-srigufwara in Anantnag.
