Srinagar: At least six shops were gutted in a ‘midnight blaze’ at the Exchange road of Lal Chowk area in Srinagar on Wednesday.
As per reports, the fire has damaged four automobile workshop sheds and two Kiryana shops.
“The fire incident was reported around 2:49 AM, following which four tenders were rushed to douse off the flames,” an official said.
The shopkeepers said that they came to know about the fire incident in the morning.
"I lost a denting and painting workshop and machinery including electronic items worth more than 10 lakhs,” said Tahir Ahmad a fire victim.
