Ganderbal: The body of a woman was recovered from a power canal in the Thune locality of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Gandarbal district on Sunday evening and has been identified.
An official said that the body was spotted by some locals and soon after they informed the police.
He added that the body has been identified as Shameema Begum, wife of Fayaz Ahmed Bajaj and a resident of Kangan.
The official added a case has been registered and further investigation has been initiated in this regard.
