Pir Panchal: Families of victims of the twin Rajouri attacks which left seven persons, including two minors dead in the Pir Panchal region of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri staged a protest on Monday morning, blocking the highway near Muradpur Chowk and seeking justice in response to the twin attacks.
“The protesters said that six months have passed since the attacks left seven persons dead and the authorities have nothing concrete to offer.”
However, traffic movement was restored after 7 hours as protest by victim families of January 01 Dhangri militant attack was called off, reports said.

News agency KNO quoted an official saying that the family members of Dhangri militant attack victims blocked the highway near Muradpur Chowk today morning.
Following the protest, civil administration and police held multiple rounds of talks with protesters and managed to pacify them by informing the protesters that the investigation is going on at full pace, the official said.
"Following assurance, protest was called off at around 04:30 pm and traffic was restored after seven hours on the highway," he added.
Following the attacks, authorities activated VDG militia group, revived by the government of India last year.
