Srinagar: An Encounter (military operation) broke out between militants and government forces in Mitrigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on wednesday.
As per reports, one army trooper have sustained minor injuries and shifted to hospital.
A joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot where the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, News Agency GNS reports.
A senior police officer also confirmed to GNS about exchange of firing between militants and forces.
