Srinagar: A 47-year-old man was killed and five others were injured in an electrocution incident in Aala Peer area of Pir Panchal region’s Poonch district of “Jammu division" on Thursday.
Officials said that Mohammad Aslam, a resident of Adai Mandi, was killed after they came in contact with a live transmission wire during grave digging in Aala Peer area. The jolt resulted in one death on the spot and injuries to five others.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Aslam, and the injured individuals were named as Mohd Azmat, Liaqat Hussain, Mohd Imran, Abdul Razaq, and Mohammad Shakeel.
They were promptly hospitalized for treatment. SHO Poonch, Deepak Pathina, confirmed the ongoing treatment of the injured individuals.
