Keran: Drugs and ammunition have been recovered during a search operation in the Keran area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Police said.
As per police, a search operation was carried out on Monday evening by Kupwara police along with 06 RR (military) near Ziyarat Sharief, Keran located on the banks of Kishan Ganga or Neelam river under jurisdiction of police station Keran.
“Following the search, one Ak 56 Rifle, one Ak 56 Magazine, and 10 packets of a substance resembling Brown Sugar were reovered.”
A case FIR No. 01/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered while further investigation has been taken up.
