Kathua: DGP (Director General of Police) RR Swain announced the department’s intention to categorize drug dealers in a manner analogous to the classification of militants into A, B, and C categories, aiming to fortify the fight against the menace of narcotics.

Speaking at a Police Ceremony in Kathua, Swain addressed the media, stating, "We are in the process of formulating a list categorizing narcotics dealers into A, B, and C, mirroring our existing system for militants. It will help us to launch a decisive battle against the drug trade."

Elaborating on the department’s approach, Swain stated: "Our primary focus is on tackling the roots of the drug problem. We are targeting major players involved in the narcotics trade.”

“We extend a welcome to people affected by the drug menace, encouraging them to step forward, as we work collectively to address this critical issue,” he added.
