As the Gaza Strip remains under siege and continuous aerial bombardment, hundreds of displaced Palestinians are now facing a severe humanitarian crisis, with reports of disease outbreaks such as chicken pox, flu, smallpox, fever, and more.
Several hospitals have been forced to shut their doors due to the lack of electricity and essential medical supplies as only a few aid trucks were allowed by Israel into the Palestinian Territory from Egypt’s Rafah border.
A resident from Gaza lamented, "We sleep on the ground in hospitals. There is no aid or medicine. The aid sent here is a drop in the ocean."

The lack of basic necessities and medical resources has led to the rapid spread of diseases.
"All kinds of diseases have spread among us, such as flu and smallpox, and we aren’t able to identify other outbreaks. Our children are suffering from fever, and the irony is that hospitals are overwhelmed with the dead and the injured,” he said.
