As the Palestine war continues on the 14th day; more than 4,000 Palestinians including 1,500 children have been killed and 12500 injured as Israel continues bombing the whole of the Gaza strip.
Several people were killed in an Israeli air attack on the Greek Orthodox Saint Porphyrius Church compound on Friday.
As per the UN, around one million Palestinians have been internally displaced across the Gaza Strip with the UN Security Council condemning starvation of civilians, prohibited under international humanitarian and criminal law.
While President Biden assured on Thursday that humanitarian aid would reach Gaza through Egypt, the United Nations said that the border still remains closed, leaving the people of Gaza in a grave humanitarian crisis. With no food, water, electricity, and fuel scarce, and hospitals teetering on the brink of collapse.
Reports said that doctors in the Gaza hospitals are using vinegar to treat patients as there is a shortage of medicine due to Israel blockade.
The UN human rights office has urged an independent international inquiry into the recent explosion at Gaza’s al-Ahli Arab Hospital that killed over 500 people as Israel maintains control over entry and exit points around Gaza.
Reports said residents of Gaza City who initially moved south in response to the Israeli order to evacuate “to save themselves” are returning to their homes because Israeli strikes are taking place in the south, too.
While Jordan and Egypt refused to allow Palestinian refugees within their borders, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince has called for the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
When Israeli diplomat Danny Ayalon told Al Jazeera that Gaza’s population should to migrated to Egypt’s Sinai Desert- Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi said that Israel could move Palestinians affected by the fighting in Gaza to the Negev desert in southern Israel instead of asking us to host them.
Israel has also banned Al Jazeera from reporting within its borders.
