Srinagar: Police said they have arrested the cop who ‘accidentally’ killed a young civilian in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
The cop has been arrested and a case also stands registered, police said quoting ADGP Vijay Kumar.
However, the details or identity of the accused cop were not revealed.
"A cop’s rifle went off ‘accidentally’ who was on-duty at Haal area of Pulwama, resulting in injuries to a person who later succumbed to injures in Srinagar hospital.
The civilian was identified as Asif Padroo Son of Mohd Ayub Padroo, resident of Poterwaal Shopian.
