Srinagar: Citing confusion, the police and hospital authorities have denied the death confirmation of the cop saying that the constable Aamir Hussian, who received bullet injuries in upper parts of body including neck continues to battle for life and remains critical at SKIMS Soura.
The policeman was critically injured on Tuesday in a “brief shootout” (gunfight/encounter) with militants near Zoonimar area of Srinagar.
A top police officer said the earlier report of his death confirmation happened due to the confusion.

“The policeman was “revived” after accessed to be dead,” a senior doctor at SKIMS said.
“Sometimes this kind of confusion happens but his condition is very critical,” he added.
Earlier, both of the departments confirmed his death.
