Sonamarg: A 22-year-old youth has drowned to death in a Fish Pond at tourist destination, Sonamarg in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Inayat Yousuf Dar, son of Mohd Yousuf Dar, and a resident of Gowhar Pura in Chadora area of Budgam district.
An official said that “he was near the pond when he accidentally fell into the fish pond in Sonamarg.”
“The youth was immediately rescued and shifted to PHC Sonamarg, where doctor declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, police said that cognizance of the incident has been taken.
Pertinently, it is the second incident reported at the same location in the last 10 days.
