Following a day-long cordon and search operation in the Pir Panchal region’s Rajouri district, an encounter (military operation) has started in the area this evening.
Sources said that the contact had been established, and gunfire commenced from both sides in the Tatapani area of Rajouri, where the search operationwas underway.
Reports said that the exchange of fire between the two sides continued when this report was being filed.
