Srinagar: A 70-year-old woman from South Kashmir’s Shopian district passed away in the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Haleema Begum, a resident of the Kaprin area in Shopian.
As per the family, she was performing
Umrah (Islamic Holy pilgrimage) alongside her sister at Mecca.
Her funeral prayers were led by Imam-e-Kabbah, following which her mortal remains were buried in the holy city only.
