‘Bruised Bodies,’ Families Ask for Judicial Probe

Srinagar: The family members of slain Dr Mudasir Gul urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to conduct the probe in a transparent manner so that the OGW label is removed from slain Gulโ€ and ensure rehabilitation of his wife and little kids on priority.

On the other hand, the family of slain Altaf Ahmed Bhat has asked the administration to conduct a judicial probe rather than magisterial.ย

Ghulam Muhammad Rather Father of Dr Mudasir Gul said he wants the label OGE to be removed from his slain sonโ€™s face.ย

โ€œLet me tell you nobody linked to militancy in our family and not even in our far off relations. The LG check the past background from 30 year.ย

He said the OGW label can only remove by a transparent investigations.

Rather said his son had done a dental surgeon course and couldnโ€™t get a job after which he started his own real estate business.ย

โ€œMy husband had a deep cut on his neck and bruises all over body, we couldnโ€™t even recognised his face, Wife of the slain said.ย

Four people including three civilians were killed in an alleged Hyderpora encounter earlier this week, however after continuous protests, the dead bodies were buried in their ancestral graveyard on Thursday midnight after being exhumed from North Kashmirโ€™s Handwara, 70 kms away from the city.ย
