Srinagar: A woman was allegedly killed by her Brother-in Law’s son with a hammer in the Palpora area of Srinagar city on Sunday, the accused has been held by police and a case has been registered.
Relatives of the deceased identified her as Maimoona who hails from the Kanipora area and married in Palpora Srinagar.
They alleged that she was killed by brother in law’s son with an axe.
The lady married two years ago and was the mother of a girl child.
They said her husband was at work when the incident took place and has demanded action.
"One accused namely Umer Farooq S/o Farooq Ahmed, resident of Pamposh Colony, Srinagar arrested for murdering his Sister-in-law (elder Bhabi). The weapon of offense was also recovered on his disclosure in front of a magistrate. Case registered in safakadal PS under relevant sections of murder," Srinagar Police tweeted.
