Srinagar: Two militants of Lashkar-i-Toiba were killed in a brief and swift encounter in the Bemina area of Srinagar on late Monday, officials said.
Quoting IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, The Kashmir Zone Police said " Two militants of outfit LeT neutralized by Srinagar Police in a swift encounter in Bemina area of Srinagar. One policeman also received a minor injury."
"One of the killed terrorists has been identified as Abdullah Goujri, resident of Faisalabad, Pakistan," police said.
Another militant was identified as Adil Hussain Mir, resident of Anantnag district. As per police records, he crossed to Pakistan in 2018 on visit VISA from Wagah border.
Pertinently on Sunday one local militant of LeT Adil Parray was killed in a brief shootout at Kreesbal Palpora on the outskirts of Srinagar.
