Srinagar: The three bodies retrieved from Dal Lake near Foreshore Road yesterday have been identified as residents of Ramban.
According to police sources, the deceased include a woman and her two minor children from the Gool area of Ramban.
A senior police official stated that the preliminary investigation suggests the possibility of suicide by drowning; however, a definitive conclusion will be reached once the investigation is completed.
"A specialized team of doctors, including forensic experts, is working to determine the specifics of the case. The investigation is ongoing," the official noted.
The Srinagar police assured that a thorough and professional inquiry will be conducted, with forensic experts actively involved.
The bodies of the woman and her children were discovered in Dal Lake yesterday evening, prompting the initiation of further legal proceedings.
