Tullmull, 28 February 2025 — Residents of Tullamulla village, have raised concerns over the lack of a proper drainage system, which they say has been causing severe waterlogging even after light rainfall.

Locals complained that blocked and ineffective drains lead to overflowing water, flooding roads and making movement difficult.

“Even a small spell of rain turns our roads into water pools. It becomes impossible to walk or drive without getting drenched,” said Ghulam Ahmad, a resident.

Social activist Bilal Bhat mentioned that despite repeatedly raising the issue in public grievance forums, including Back to Village and Block Diwas programs, authorities have not taken action.

“We have been demanding a proper drainage system for years, but no steps have been taken. If the problem isn’t resolved soon, it will only worsen with heavy rainfall,” he said.
