Srinagar: A devastating fire broke out in a picturesque houseboat nestled in the serene waters of Dal Lake, near Ghat No. 02 on Monday, leaving the once-beautiful Golden Lily houseboat engulfed in flames.
An official said that fire breakout in a houseboat located near Ghat No today evening with local authorities dispatching multiple fire tenders to the scene.
While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, authorities are actively investigating the matter to determine the origin and circumstances surrounding the incident.
The owner mourned the fire mishap saying his houseboat was part of the region’s heritage.
