Rajouri: After the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) filed a complaint against the BJP for allegedly threatening Pahari Muslims to vote for Apni party in the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat of Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP chief suspended the accused senior leader, Satish Bhargav.
Bhargav’s expulsion was ordered on the recommendation of the party’s disciplinary committee chairman, who cited a video of Bhargav making ‘threatening and unparliamentary remarks.’
The PDP has also shared a video of Bhargav’s speech and demanded an investigation into the matter.
It is pertinent to mention that the PDP and NC were already urging the ECI not to defer elections citing discrepancies. However, the ECI postponed the polling dates in the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency to May 25.
