Warmul, May 7 —The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Baramulla on Wednesday directed over half a dozen schools to immediately dispatch their buses to Government Degree College (GDC) Baramulla, allowing just one hour for compliance.
The directive, issued without prior notice, has asked school heads to maintain close coordination with both the district administration and the ARTO office to ensure smooth execution of the order.
Further, the schools have been told to submit full vehicle details, including the driver’s name and contact number, to the ARTO office located in Sopore.
“Non-compliance will be taken seriously,” the order reads, warning that any delay or failure to act may result in the cancellation of the vehicle’s registration without further notice.
The move comes at a time when educational schedules across the Valley remain uncertain.
Kashmir University has postponed all examinations scheduled till May 10, while Cluster University Srinagar has deferred those listed for May 8.
