Anantnag: Directorate of Ayush, J&K in collaboration with Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (New Delhi) & Archaeological Survey of India on Wednesday organised a SURYA NAMASKAR session at Sun Temple Martand in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
In Hinduism, Surya Namaskar holds significance as a form of worship to the Sun God, Surya. The Sun is considered a symbol of life and consciousness in Hinduism, and by performing Surya Namaskar, practitioners express gratitude and seek the blessings of the Sun. It is also seen as a way to enhance physical and mental well-being while aligning with spiritual principles.
The program was organised by District Ayush Officer Anantnag under the guidance of Director Ayush of J&K, Dr. Mohan Singh.
Moreover, the 2nd Commandment CRPF & Deputy Commandant CRPF 96 Bn, Assistant Conservator Archaeological Survey of India (Srinagar Circle) attended the event as guests.
The whole staff of Ayush Anantnag and Ayush Kulgam also participated in the event.
