Kupwara: A 26-year-old youth was killed after a snow avalanche hit the Machil area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday while three others were rescued, officials said.
As per reports, a snow avalanche hit the Chontiwari area of Machil and several persons got trapped.
Following the incident, a rescue operation was launched by the authorities during which one body identified as Ajaz Ahmad was recovered while three others were rescued safely.
