Authorities Seize Alleged Absconding Militant’s Property In Awantipora

Awantipora: Authorities have attached an immovable property, comprising one Kanal of land and 15 Marlas of orchard land, located at Noorpura area of south Kashmir’s Awantipora. 
 
According to the statement,  this property is linked to the alleged absconding millitant, Feroz Ganie, and son of Naber Ganie. 
 
“The operation was executed under Section 83 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CRPC) following a court order from th Additional Sessions Court in Pulwama, which is a National Investigation Agency (NIA) Court,” reads the statement. 
 
Statement further stated that Feroz Ganie is a wanted person involved in case FIR No. 36/2023 under several sections, including U/s 18, 20, 23, 25, 38, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P) Act) and Section 7/25 of the Indian Arms Act. 
 
“He was earlier declared a proclaimed offender by the Hon’ble Special NIA Court in Pulwama under Section 82 CRPC after he failed to cooperate with the investigating agency.”
