Srinagar: Three militants were killed as Indian Army foiled an Infiltration bid in Kamalkot area of Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday, officials said.
“Security forces were successful in foiling Infiltration by killing three militants in Kamalkot Uri,” officials said.
“Bodies of all the three militants along with arms and ammunition were recovered from the spot,” they said.
However, no detailed information was provided over the identification of militants.
It is the second infiltration attempt in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours.
A day before, the Army said it foiled two major infiltration bids in Nowshehra sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district by killing two militants, capturing one alive while as fourth one injured militant managed to escape.
