Srinagar: An encounter (military operation against militants) has started in Sujan Hill area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri District on Sunday evening, officials said.
Another encounter is underway in Nowhatta area of Kashmir capital, Srinagar in which an unidentified militant and a cop were injured.
A senior police officer said that team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Sujan Hil on a very specific input.

As the joint team approached towards the suspected area, the militants fired upon the party leading to an encounter, officer added.
The exchange of fire was underway when this report was being filed.
