Srinagar: Altaf Bukhari, the President of the Apni Party, has raised concerns and criticized the suspension of dozens of Hazratbal staff members over alleged negligence of duty during the Milad in Nabi at Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar.
Apni Party President made these remarks at Dargah Hazratbal after paying obeisance at the revered shrine today, expressing his disapproval of the administration’s decision, deeming it illogical.
“The primary responsibility for the smooth functioning of events like Eid Milad un Nabi lies with the administration itself, rather than placing the burden solely on small employees,” he told reporters during his visit to the shrine.
“During important events like Eid Milad un Nabi, it is essential to exercise flexibility and understanding” he added.
Reportedly, the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board which is directly run by BJP’s Darakshan Andrabi ordered the suspension of all officers and staff of Hazratbal shrine over alleged negligence of duties on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
The order stated that “grave negligence of the concerned staff had created a lot of inconvenience to the devotees.”
