Srinagar: As protests and shutdowns continued across Pir Panjal’s Rajouri after six civilians, including two minors, were killed in twin attacks in Dhangri village of Rajouri on January 1 evening and January 2 morning, the government has decided to send additional contingents of paramilitary force to ensure the internal security of the region.
As per reports, over 18 CRPF companies – approximately 1,800 personnel – will be rushed to the Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir which includes eight CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) companies from nearby locations and 10 companies are being rushed from Delhi.
After the attack. the office of LG Manoj Sinha announced a compensatory amount of ₹ 10 lakh and a government job to the family of those killed in the firing incident and Rs.1 lakh to the injured.
It is pertinent to mention that the case has been taken by NIA for probe.
