Srinagar, Feb 24 — Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, on Thursday assured that power and water supply will remain uninterrupted during Ramadan.
He said a high-level meeting is scheduled for tomorrow to finalize preparations.
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Bidhuri acknowledged concerns over unscheduled power cuts but stated that the situation has remained stable.
“Even during inclement weather, the power supply was satisfactory, and authorities expect smooth supply during Ramadan as well,” he said.
Regarding the weather alert, he noted that recent rainfall has not significantly affected power distribution, with 90% of supply lines operational.
“Air and railway transport are running smoothly, while national highways remain open, except in border areas,” he added.
