Jammu: The transporters have called for a one-day strike in Jammu against the operation of smart city e-buses in busy areas, which they say are affecting their livelihood.
People were seen walking on foot along with their kids and families as there were no commercial vehicles plying on the roads.
Vijay Singh Chib, President of the association, said that the government and transporters have made an agreement to run e-buses on uncovered and less congested routes, but the administration unilaterally violated the agreement and s operations of e-buses in all busy routes, causing hardships to private transporters.
