A 16-year-old Palestinian boy has been shot dead by Israeli forces in Nablus city, occupied West Bank, the Palestinian ministry said on Wednesday.
His death makes him the 200th Palestinian killed by Israel this year, and the 51st child.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the teenager as Ahmad Amjad Shehada, 16, who was shot with a live bullet in the heart, Wafa News Agency reported.
The medical sources added that four other Palestinians were injured, one of them critical with a bullet in the abdomen, noting that one was hit with a sound bomb in the head, while others suffered from suffocation due to inhaling toxic gas fired at them by the soldiers.
"A child was killed, one was critically injured in the abdomen, and three have stable injuries,” the ministry stated.
The Israeli military alleged it came under fire and responded with live fire.
