Kharar, 10 November 2024: Punjab Police have arrested two operatives of gangster Arsh Dalla’s gang in connection with the murder of Sikh activist Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau, in Kharar, Mohali.
Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav confirmed the arrests on Sunday, saying, “In a major breakthrough, the SSOC Mohali, along with AGTF and Faridkot Police, apprehended two key operatives of Arsh Dalla involved in the murder of Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau in Faridkot.”
Police also recovered two weapons from the suspects.
Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau, also known as Bhodi, was shot dead on October 9 while returning home from a gurdwara in Faridkot.
Authorities had previously identified Arsh Dalla as the mastermind behind the murder and alleged that it was carried out under the orders of Amritpal Singh, who is currently detained in Dibrugarh jail under the National Security Act.
Further investigation revealed that the arrested operatives were also responsible for the murder of Jaswant Singh Gill in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, on November 7.
DGP Yadav added, “After the crime in Madhya Pradesh, the suspects returned to Punjab, where they were apprehended.”
