Srinagar, 1 January 2024 – The inspection of the Katra-Reasi rail section by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), Northern Circle, New Delhi, has been rescheduled to January 7 and 8, 2025.
A notification from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (Commission of Railway Safety) directed the movement of Inspection Carriage RA-001181, designated for the CRS, in line with the revised schedule on January 6 and 7, 2025.
The statutory inspection, covering the 16.501 km Katra-Reasi segment of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla New BG Rail Link Project, will take place on January 7-8.
Key officials, including the CAO/USBRL, CBE, CSE, COM-G, CEGE from headquarters, DRM/FZR, and BOs, will accompany the CRS during this critical review.
PM Modi, along with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, LG, and CM, is set to inaugurate train service connecting Srinagar to the rest of India between January 20-26, 2025.
