Jammu, 27 February 2025 — The Jammu & Kashmir High Court has directed an 80% reduction in toll fees at Lakhanpur and Bann toll plazas on NH-44 until highway construction is completed.
The court ruled that collecting full toll on an unfinished and poorly maintained highway is unjustified.
It also noted violations of toll plaza spacing regulations and raised concerns over unauthorized toll collection from Vaishno Devi pilgrims.
